Emily: Ooh lots of stuff has come along! Am too busy to write much though :)

The musicians are pretty much sorted, James has to find (or write) parts for one of the hymns. Presents have been bought for parents and bridesmaids. Table plans and decorations are pretty much sorted. I am having an underwear crisis - I have 3 options and can't decide which to go with. Am also having a minor jewellery crisis, I have 3 choices of necklace but no earrings that go with any of them very well. Also, my sister isn't sure whether the jewellery I made for the bridesmaids will suit the dresses, but she is going to let me know. I think we have other options for that in hand if necessary. Also not sure what we are doing with the bridesmaids hair, I think that may not be finally decided until Friday night before the wedding. Favours, place names etc are all done. I have started making the cravats, but couldn't find my black cotton last night, which brought things to a sudden stand still. I will have to go out at lunch time and get some. I think everything is in hand though.

James: Anxiety dreams last night.

In the first, we receive a letter from H. Samuel. It is in the same large font as that of the letter we received yesterday from our photographer. The wedding rings, they tell us, have been delayed. They won't be delivered until the 16th October. This is no good to us, I tell them. We get married on the 9th. "Sorry," is the response we get. Not surprisingly, I'm not terribly happy about this, and have visions of having to use plastic cracker rings like the ones Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter use when they propose to the princesses in the second Bill and Ted film.

In the second dream, I'm talking to the thirteen-year-old violinist we've assigned to help us during two of the hymns. "You've got the music," I say, "and we're all set".
"You bet," she replies. "I'm really looking forward to November."
Something about this statement puzzles me, but I ignore it. And then a few minutes later, she once again mentions November, to which I respond "Is that when you think the wedding is?"
She stares at me, blankly. "It is, isn't it?"
"No!" I say. "That's the Jubilee wedding that you're playing at. Our wedding is on the 9th October - that's a week and a half away. Less."
Her face falls a little. "I can't make it then...."

Small-fry in terms of actual anxiety, I suppose, but two things that mattered very much to *me* while I was unconscious. I am expecting the really nerve-wracking dreams to start after this weekend.

Emily: Well, it's come around rather quickly in the end! I think everything is under control though.

My parents come up tomorrow with the cake, Wednesday we're going the favours, Thursday I have a hair appointment. I still haven't done the cravats. Right now I am going to bed though.

Emily: Everything is almost under control.

I called the hairdresser last night to confirm final arrangements and she said she wanted to have another trial before the day! I hadn't realised this, but am now going to see her on Thursday afternoon. We got all the place names sorted out into tables, with menu choices written on them, as nobody will remember what they ordered otherwise! I got some cheap and cheerful table decorations, but now my mum has been lent a whole load of lovely glass bowls for floating candles, which would probably look nicer. Problem is, what do I do with all the candles and candle holders I've bought? And where do we get nice floating candles to match our colour scheme. Actually, the candles are mostly still wrapped, so I could probably take them back. Perhaps I'll go and see what they have in Tesco later. Still not made the cravats - that's a job for when I'm off work I think. In the mean time, James and I have things to practice before my mum arrives.

Emily: We got married!

It was the best wedding I've ever been to.
